Story spoilers · Community route · Checked September 7, 2026. No-alert completion has conflicting early-access reports. These steps are a route to try, not a guarantee that every build will register it.
What are the six Chapter 2 challenges?
Use this list to decide whether you are attempting a specific kill or concentrating on a clean chapter completion.
| Challenge | Requirement, paraphrased |
|---|---|
| 1 | Stalk Tanya to level 3 before the cash-register execution |
| 2 | Use an environmental execution on Rachel in the cemetery |
| 3 | Kill Slab during his urinating animation without alerting him |
| 4 | Stalk Eric to level 3 before the hardware-store shelf execution |
| 5 | Kill all three of Rachel’s friends |
| 6 | Complete the chapter without alerting anyone |
These target conditions are cross-checked against Into Indie Games’ chapter list. A target being in the correct building is not enough for an action-specific task: compare the prompt and animation too.
What route should I try for Challenge 6?
The Whisper of the House Main Street route organizes the attempt around these stages:
- Collect the mask in the hardware store, then handle Eric at the stockroom shelf.
- Approach Tanya’s cash-register scene from concealment. Disabling a phone prevents a call route; it does not reverse an alert.
- Follow the Rachel-group objectives, waiting for Slab’s actual urinating animation before attempting his specific condition.
- Resolve Rachel and her friends, then follow the required body-handling prompts.
- Finish the Judith-grave objective and return to the car.
For body handling, the walkthrough distinguishes required Rachel cleanup from optional Tanya hiding. Use the proper hiding interaction when requested; leaving a body around a corner is not confirmation that the objective accepted it.
What should I check before exposing Michael?
Treat each approach as a decision point. Identify who can see the route, where the target needs to stand, and which prompt you need before moving into reach. If you are also pursuing an execution task, wait until its setup is ready instead of killing the target at the first opportunity.
Read the Michael movement guide if Shape Jump is unavailable. The Main Street walkthrough flags light and sightlines as checks, but turning off power can also change a target’s routine. Change the situation deliberately and watch what the NPC does next.
Is Challenge 6 bugged if the run looked clean?
There are early-access reports of this specific challenge not unlocking. A report establishes a possible tracking problem, not the hidden cause of every failed run.
For a useful retry, record your platform, game version, visible alerts and the exact point where a condition changed. Start a fresh chapter attempt after an unmistakable alert rather than relying on an unverified reset trick. Finish the chapter before checking saved completion.
Check the official hotfix summary for the scope of announced fixes. For another timing-sensitive sequence, see Chapter 4 Challenge 6 or browse the story challenge directory.
