Prologue challenges: all six tasks and the last orderly

Complete the Prologue challenges in Halloween: The Game: find the last orderly for Challenge 6, separate combat and stealth runs, and check saved progress.

Story spoilers · Community route · Checked September 7, 2026. These routes are sourced reports, not playtests by this site. Your installed game’s challenge text takes precedence.

What does each Prologue challenge require?

Use this compact checklist before leaving Smith’s Grove. It paraphrases the tasks rather than reproducing the game’s full wording.

ChallengeWhat to doPlan around
1Frighten an orderly into fleeingLet the escape action resolve
2Perform three executions on orderliesUse bare-handed executions for a conservative attempt
3Use the telephone-pole executionLook beside the power equipment
4Use the railing executionCheck the nearby environmental prompt
5Escape without alerting anyoneReserve a separate stealth run
6Deal with every orderlyRecheck the starting area before leaving

The task types are cross-checked against Into Indie Games’ challenge list. That guide and the route below differ on which executions satisfy Challenge 2; bare hands avoid that ambiguity.

Where is the missing orderly for Challenge 6?

The Whisper of the House Prologue route reports 12 orderlies. After checking the main area, return toward the beginning: the easily missed final orderly is near the gate. If you approach a face of the gate that cannot be climbed, follow the slope around to the accessible opening.

Keep a simple tally of confirmed outcomes as you move. If your tally and the challenge display disagree, inspect the remaining patrol area before assuming the last action failed. A count is a navigation aid, not proof that the game accepted every action.

How should I separate combat from the no-alert run?

For the combat attempt, the same route recommends grabbing and releasing an orderly for the fear task, then checking the execution prompts near the power equipment. Do those deliberate interactions before sweeping the remaining patrols.

For the stealth attempt, follow the escape objectives without deliberately provoking the orderlies. The reported path switches off the power before prying the exit gate. Watch the patrol before leaving cover; after a clear alert, consider that attempt compromised rather than assuming darkness erased it. Review Stalk and Shape Jump before retrying.

What if the challenge checks off but the reward is missing?

The community route advises finishing the chapter after the checkmark appears. Make a note of the challenge number and verify it again after returning to chapter selection; do not quit immediately after the action if you are trying to preserve that run.

Early Access Hotfix 1 includes tracking fixes, but it does not name a guaranteed Prologue fix. Our patch summary separates confirmed changes from unresolved reports.

FAQ

Where is the last orderly in Prologue Challenge 6?
The community route points back toward the starting gate. If the gate blocks your approach, follow the slope to the opening instead of trying to climb it.
Should I attempt all six challenges at once?
Separate the stealth objective from the combat objectives so you can track one set of conditions at a time.
Does Hotfix 1 guarantee this challenge is fixed?
No. The official notes mention challenge-tracking fixes without identifying every affected challenge.
