Perk Decks: card rolls, upgrades and preview effects

Learn how Perk Decks work in Halloween: The Game, from card rolls and temporary upgrades to verified preview effects and the shareable loadout planner.

Official sources · Reviewed September 7, 2026. Gameplay can change between builds. Tactical recommendations below are editorial advice, not measured rankings.

Which cards are confirmed by the official preview?

The September 2 screenshot visibly shows Barricade, Brimstone Fuse, Convincing Plea, Fade to Black, Field Triage and Guardian Shadow. These names are available in our card catalogue and planner. The image shows a 15-card deck counter; current client rules take precedence.

What does Barricade do?

The selected tier-II preview says locked doors become 35% tougher to destroy. This is a preview value, not a claim about every rarity or the current live build. Effects for the other five cards are not readable in that image and are marked unverified.

How should I spend Perk Points?

Before paying for a temporary upgrade, compare its displayed cost and remaining matches with the sessions you plan to play. Set a reserve rather than spending every point immediately. The progression calculator lets you use actual costs from your account without inventing drop odds.

Is a deck a guaranteed sequence of perks?

The official explanation describes randomized in-match card rolls. Do not build a plan that assumes one specific card will appear at a specific time.
